Aperture is built in five stages. The first, the WordPress plugin every other piece talks to, is released and tested. The browser uploader works today inside WordPress; the installable version is next.

Connect with Stripe

Photographers connect their own Stripe account in a few clicks: no keys to paste, no webhooks to configure. Buyers pay by card and the money lands with the photographer; Aperture keeps 1% to fund its development. WooCommerce checkout was removed to keep one simple path.

Licenses and delivery

Every sale becomes a license record with a private download of the full-resolution original and a printable certificate. Originals go out with location removed; refunds switch the links off.

Roadmap

The current direction, not a promise: order can change as photographers use it. Each stage ships on its own and nothing needs the next one to work.

  • Connect goes live. The payment service at connect.arok.ai, a test-mode sale on a real site, then live keys.
  • Public download. Aperture published here, with release notes and checksums for every version.

  • Installable uploader. Open yoursite/upload on any phone or computer, add it to the home screen, and share photos straight from the camera roll.
  • Subject tagging service. A ready-made tagger so photos sent from a browser land in collections like Birds or Coast, not only by date.
  • Studio. Private projects for your own work: gather photos into a project, keep notes, export a set.

  • Windows. Watched folders, SD card offload with an optional archive copy, on-device tagging, and a card cleared only after every file is verified.

What won't change

Your site, your name. Photos live on your own WordPress site. Visitors see your brand, never ours.
Nothing deleted until verified. A photo only leaves a phone, card or computer after your site confirms a matching fingerprint.
Location stays private. Visitors get resized copies with no GPS; buyers get originals with location removed.
Any host. If something on the server holds Aperture back, it says what and how to fix it.
