Up and running in four steps

No settings to fill in before your first upload. Prices have sensible defaults. To sell by card, choose Card under Settings, Aperture, and click Connect with Stripe.

    Install

    In WordPress go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin. Choose the zip, then Activate.

    Check your host

    Open Tools, Site Health. Aperture adds six checks and says in plain words what to change if something on your host holds it back.

    Add the gallery

    Put [aperture_gallery] on any page, in a Shortcode block. Collections, albums and the license picker appear there.

    Send photos

    Go to Media, Send photos and drop in files or a whole folder. They show up on your gallery page as they finish.

What's in 0.3.4

Checked, not assumed. Every photo is fingerprinted before and after the transfer. Only a match is added, and duplicates are recognised and skipped.
Survives bad connections. Photos travel in small pieces and resume where they stopped. Hosts with tight upload limits get smaller pieces automatically.
Sorted on arrival. Albums by shoot or capture day, nested collections by subject, tags for camera, orientation and tone.
Paid on the spot. Buyers pick a license and pay by card into your own Stripe account, then download the original and a license certificate straight away.
Location stays private. Visitors see resized copies with no GPS. Buyers get the original with location removed; rotation and camera data stay.
Works on any host. Site Health checks the server, storage, upload limits, app access, tagging and payments, with a fix for each.
Your name leads. The gallery carries your site's name and nothing else. Dark and light themes; visitors can switch.
One API for every app. The upload API is documented in API.md inside the zip, for anyone building a client.

The Aperture apps for Windows, iPhone and Android, which add background upload, watched folders, SD card offload and clearing space on the device once each photo is verified. Your site will need nothing new: the apps use the same plugin.
